Giclée is a type of printing process in which an inkjet printer sprays the inks onto the paper, it is usually regarded as the best type of fine arts print as the resolution is typically high, and the colours as close as possible to the actual original painting.
The longevity of the print is also good and often a giclee print is available in Limited edition. The word is pronounced “zhee’clay” – this comes from the French term “gicleur,” which means “to spray.”
Printed on acid-free archival paper.
A print that is printed as a digital based image such as a file on a computer. The images are of a high DPI so the outcome is an image that shows well the colour and the texture of the original painting. They are printed in a specialist printing workshop onto.
Quality papers of 200g to 400g weight with a silk finish.
